Atlanta City Council President Ceasar C. Mitchell to serve as GACHS Spring 2017 Commencement Speaker

Atlanta, Georgia (April 27, 2017) – Graduation Achievement Charter High School is thrilled to announce that Atlanta City Council President Ceasar C. Mitchell will serve as the speaker for its Spring 2017 Commencement. The ceremony is set to take place 11:00 am Saturday, June 10 at Georgia State University’s Student Center East Auditorium.

Attorney Mitchell is a passionate advocate for a safe, economically strong, and green Atlanta. Mitchell is especially zealous about education and the elevation of Atlanta’s youth.

“Learn as much as you can, as often as you can and never lose the spirit of being a student.” – Ceasar C.Mitchell

His semi-annual College Prep Series is a program that emphasizes the importance of doing well on college admissions exams and educates families about the entire college admission process. The City Council President’s efforts to prepare Atlanta youth for achievement beyond high school make him the ideal candidate to speak to students at Graduation Achievement Charter High School’s Spring 2017 graduation ceremony.

Graduation Achievement Charter High School (GACHS) is the state’s first virtual charter high school, offering students an accredited online option for obtaining a high school diploma. It is a statewide, single-school district serving more than 1,500 students in more than 230 cities and towns across the state of Georgia.
